Fallout 4 developer Bethesda Game Studios confirmed today that the title doesn’t end when the main story is over because Fallout 4 has no level cap, players can continue exploring the game after the main story is finished and keep leveling up. Bethesda made this announcement following endless queries from fans who were wondering where Fallout 4 is going to draw the line, they’ll be happy to know that it doesn’t draw one at all.
This is a major shift from tradition since previous Fallout titles had level caps, all of them, this decision will just make the gameplay much more rewarding as fans get to gain experience from side missions and countless other in-game activities after they have ended the main story. Bethesda made this announcement through its official Twitter account.
Bethesda has already said that it’s revising the way enemy difficulty is scaled upward in the title with player level, this is likely a result of its decision to remove level caps. The developer calls it rubberbanding.
Fallout 4 is destined to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on November 10th. The title includes over 400 hours of content, and is unfortunately not going to come with any modding tools at launch.
