There are plenty of services out there that offer a desktop client, a web client, and an app. Some services that come to mind include the likes of Evernote and the good news is that if you’re an avid Evernote user, you will be pleased to learn that its web UI has recently gotten quite a major overhaul.
According to Evernote, the company has been working on a new web UI for a while now and has been testing it in beta, but the good news is that it is now rolling out to all their users. The company writes, “It’s clean, beautiful, and incorporates months of community feedback. The result is an amazing web app that’s easy to learn and use.”
In fact the screenshot above should give you an idea as to what to expect. The idea behind the new UI is to create a distraction-free writing experience, so if you’re someone who gets distracted easily then this should help you with that. Now why use a web client when you’ve got a perfectly good desktop client, you ask?
Sometimes you don’t have the luxury of using your own computer, or as the web UI is evidence enough, it does look a lot cleaner and faster than the desktop client so maybe you might end up preferring to use that instead. Evernote states that the rollout is expected to take place over the course of a couple of weeks, so don’t fret if your web UI hasn’t been changed yet.
