Dr. Dre’s Compton Album No Longer An Apple Music Exclusive

As you might have heard, a couple of weeks ago famed hip-hop producer Dr. Dre released his first album in more than a decade. Dubbed “Compton”, it was the soundtrack to the movie “Straight Outta Compton” and it was also an exclusive to Apple Music. Naturally there were critics of this move as many felt it was unfair.

That being said if you are a fan of the good Doctor, you might be interested to learn that the exclusivity with Apple Music has come to an end. This means that if you’re on other streaming services such as Google Play Music, Tidal, Rdio, and Rhapsody, you should be able to stream the album straight from today.

The album features sixteen songs and will run for about an hour. Now if you were wondering how the album has done so far, it’s interesting to note that despite it having been an exclusive to Apple Music for the past two weeks, it has managed to rack up over 25 million stream, suggesting that the album has proven itself to be quite a hit.

We expect that those numbers will only rise moving forward now that it will be available on more platforms, so if you like Dr. Dre’s work and want to check out if he still has it, then fire up your streaming service and check it out.
