In an announcement in India, ASUS has officially taken the wraps off the ASUS ZenFone Max, which as its name implies seems to indicate that it will pack a huge battery and sure enough ASUS does not disappoint. The selling point of the device will be its massive 5,000mAh battery which is big enough to put most of the competition to shame.
It is unclear as to how long this 5,000mAh battery will last users since it really boils down to how you use your device, but considering that most phones that last you a day hover between 2,000-3,000mAh batteries, we reckon getting at least a day and a half’s worth of use shouldn’t be an issue, but we’re just guestimating here.
As for the rest of its specs, it’s not much of a stunner. It will feature a 5.5-inch display covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP/5MP PixelMaster cameras with an f/2.0 aperture. Unfortunately there is no word on pricing or availability stateside just yet.
