The ASUS ZenFone 2 can hold its own in the smartphone market, it provides respectable specifications in a good package for a moderate price point. However the company feels that it can add something extra to this device and for this purpose it has announced the ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition. Not only does this variant have a very cool polygonal pattern on its back but it also features an impressive 256GB of onboard storage.
That’s a very generous amount of onboard storage, even more than I have in my MacBook Air. Customers who pick up this device will certainly not be pressed for storage and they might not even have to worry about using a microSD card just to get more space for media, apps and games.
ASUS has announced ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition only in Brazil at this point in time, the company has not confirmed as yet if it has any plans of launching this variant in other markets across the globe, particularly North America.
Aside from the pattern on the back and increased storage this handset is more or less the same as the ZenFone 2, with its 5.5 inch display, 64-bit Intel Atom processor coupled with 4GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera.
ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will be released in Brazil next month, ASUS hasn’t confirmed the price yet.
