Ubisoft’s next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is expected to make its debut on the 23rd of October on consoles, but for non-console gamers and those who are intending on playing it on their PC, the question is when will the game be released on the PC? If you’re curious about the game’s PC release date, wonder no more.
Ubisoft has officially announced via its blog that come 19th of November, the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be released on the PC. So what’s with the “delay”? According to Ubisoft Kiev’s Sam Kovalev, “The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one.”
Given that recently we’re starting to see more games launch with glaring issues on launch day, usually as a result of rushing the game out for the sake of it, we suppose we can understand and even appreciate Ubisoft’s efforts at delaying it a little just to ensure that the game will be polished ahead of launch.
As for the PC specs of the game, Kovalev states that this has yet to be finalized, but they are targeting at least 1080p resolution at 30fps for gamers who play on the recommended specs, whatever they may be.
