The folks at 9to5Mac have managed to get their hands on a support document that Apple is expected to share on the 9th of September. This document claims that devices like the Apple TV will be marked as obsolete in certain countries like the Asia Pacific region, while they will be moved to vintage status in the US.
Basically what this seems to suggest is that new models could be on their way. As it stands Apple already maintains such a list on their website, so the leaked document is basically a list of devices that will be added to said list. Other devices that are part of the list include the Apple LED Cinema Display 24-inch model, the 2009 Mac Mini, Apple Cinema Display 30-inch, older iPod nano, shuffle, and touch models, along with the iPod classic.
There have been many rumors surrounding the alleged Apple TV refresh. This includes a possible new design, a new remote control that comes with trackpad input, and more. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us on the 9th of September for the details.
