Additional Sony Xperia Z5/Z5 Compact Photos Leaked
According to our post from a few days ago, a photo of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact was leaked. It showed the rough size of the phones compared against the iPhone 6, and it also showed off what looked like the instructions on how to use the phones’ built-in fingerprint sensor.
Now thanks to new photos leaked by @ViziLeaks, we have additional pictures of the upcoming handset. As you can see in the images above and below, it shares a similar design to the photo we saw from the other day. It also confirms that the upcoming handsets will not feature USB Type-C connectivity and will rely on regular micro USB.
Unfortunately the photo only shows one side of the phone and the bottom part of the phone, so at this point in time we still have no idea how or what its fingerprint sensor will look like. However based on the previous photo, it was suggested that the fingerprint sensor is placed on the side of the phone, or at least on the back and to the side of the phone.
This results in a somewhat interesting method but considering that’s how we usually hold our phones, especially in one hand, it would make sense and would be kind of ergonomical. In any case take these leaks with a grain of salt for now, but Sony has confirmed their presence at IFA 2015 on the 2nd of September, so hopefully we will learn more then.
