ZTE Spro 2 Android Projector Launched On Verizon

Earlier this year at CES 2015, ZTE took the wraps off a rather interesting projector in the form of the ZTE Spro 2. This is not your typical projector as it is powered by Android. Now the projector eventually made its way onto AT&T but in case you’d rather not buy it from AT&T, you’re in luck because it has recently made its way onto Verizon as well.

The device will be available for purchase from Verizon where it is priced at $499 with a two-year contract, and $599 if you’d rather buy it without a contract. So how does it work? Basically this is a projector at heart. It is capable of projecting images up to 120-inches in size and can connect as many as 10 devices to Verizon’s LTE network.

This means that not only is this a projector, but it is essentially a mobile hotspot as well, hence the need for a subscription to Verizon’s network for the connectivity. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat and will sport a 5-inch display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

It will also pack a decently sized 6,300mAh battery. Interestingly enough Verizon’s model is more expensive compared to AT&T who has priced it at $499.99 without a contract, and $399.99 with. If you’d like to get your hands on it, head on over to ZTE’s website for the details.
