For starters, the main changes would be the tabs at the top of the app. It will now focus on three main areas of YouTube, which is the Home section where you will be able to find new videos to watch based on your history. There is also the tab that will let you find out what new videos might have been put out from your subscribed channels.
The last tab will then focus on your Account where you get to check up on your history, account settings, your videos, notifications, and more. The latest update to YouTube follows on the heels of a recent update which basically lets users watch videos recorded vertically in full screen, something which must be a relief to YouTubers around the world.
As for those who uploaded their videos onto YouTube via their mobile devices, there will be additional controls for trimming, tinting, and even adding a soundtrack on your phone. Granted it isn’t a particularly comprehensive editing tool but it should be good enough to get the job done while you’re on the go. The updated app can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.
