The Mythic raid difficulty is the hardest mode in a World of Warcraft raid. It serves as an option for guilds who feel that maybe Blizzard is starting to slack in terms of raid difficulty, or guilds who want to collect achievements which sometimes includes rare mounts and titles, or maybe it’s just for bragging rights.
That being said, Blizzard appears to have really stepped things up in Patch 6.2 with the Hellfire Citadel raid, which as it stands is the last planned raid for the Warlords of Draenor expansion in which players will have to battle Archimonde who is the raid’s final boss. In fact the raid is so hard that it took Method, who is probably one of the best guilds around, a whopping 472 tries before they managed to complete the raid.
This was recently confirmed by Method’s Scott McMillan who tweeted “13/13”, basically indicating that the guild managed to down all 13 bosses of the raid. Method is the first guild in the world to complete the Hellfire Citadel raid in Mythic difficulty, so our hats are off to them. Unfortunately Method isn’t sharing the details of their kill just yet, so for other guilds who are still trying their darndest best, you guys are on your own for now.
