Microsoft may have released Windows 10 for PCs but there’s a version of this operating system that’s still being anxiously awaited by many people across the globe, Windows 10 Mobile is poised to arrive in a couple of months and today Microsoft has confirmed the models of Lumia handsets which will be the first to receive this new update. This is where you cross your fingers and hope that your Lumia device has made it on the list which is available after the break.
Microsoft has previously said that it is the company’s intention to bring Windows 10 Mobile to all Lumia devices that are capable of running Lumia Denim software but it’s obviously going to take a lot of time before this goal can be achieved.
It’s going to release the new software in batches with the most recent handsets obviously getting priority on the list, Microsoft does point out that there might be a slight difference in features or different Lumia devices due to varying hardware specifications.
Microsoft has confirmed that the Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL and the Lumia 735 will receive Windows 10 Mobile first. There are a total of ten devices on this list including the Lumia 830 and Lumia 930. The company has not yet revealed a precise release date for Windows 10 Mobile.
