The Empulse TT is basically a rebadged Brammo Empulse R, where there will be a twin-spar aluminum frame, fully adjustable suspension with an inverted fork, as well as a single rear shock, dual-disc brakes at the front and lightweight cast aluminum rims all around. As for its LCD display, it will depict all of the essential information there – a speedometer, tachometer, gear indicator, clock, battery level and estimated range.
A Permanent Magnet AC Induction electric motor keeps it running, where it peaks at 54 hp (40.3 kW) and 61 ft-lb (80.7 Nm). It takes close to 4 hours for a full charge using a Stage 2 charger, while a Stage 1 charger would require 8 hours. The asking price? $20,000 a pop.
It would be interesting to see whether electric motorcycle owners will one day be given $1,000 to participate in a research so that their two-wheeled beauties are charged based on a selected schedule. That should be a long time off, if it happens anyway.
