Verizon-Bound Galaxy Note 5 Benchmarked

“There’s no smoke without fire”, or so the saying goes. Having said that, there has been quite a bit to go around where the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 is concerned, and to hear that the device has gone through a Geekbench test suite is definitely encouraging. After all, benchmark tests do happen to reveal more about a particular piece of hardware than a standard issue leaked photograph.

Apparently, a device that goes by the model number SM-N920V, meaning it will most probably head out to Verizon Wireless by the time it hits the market, was the one that underwent the Geekbench test. It showed to come with an octa-core 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor, featuring 4GB RAM, and having Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in tow, which should also be there right out of the box, meaning there is no need for you to actually wait for an update when you pick up the handset.

Interestingly enough, the Galaxy Note 5 also managed to hit benchmark scores that are comparable to those achieved by the Samsung Galaxy S6: 1418 (Single-Core) and 4399 (Multi-Core) points. I suppose we will still have to take what we see here with a grain of salt, since until the real deal hits the market, everything else is fair game to change.
