Chances are you have seen camera bags being used in real life before, or at least seen them in stores. They’re generally bulky and boring, but they do serve their purpose well which is to keep your camera and equipment safe through thick padding and compartments. However if you want a camera bag that can also double up as a regular day-to-day bag, you’re in luck.
Famed photographer Trey Ratcliff recently got in touch with the folks at Peak Design and together they have created what might be considered the camera bag of the future. Dubbed the Everyday Messenger, this camera bag will not only protect your camera and lenses and equipment, but has the ability to transform itself into a regular messenger bag so that when you’re not using it to bring your camera equipment around, it can be used for normal activities as well.
The Everyday Messenger bag will come with EVA foam FlexFold dividers which you can twist and bend to accommodate your gear. It is made from Kodra synthetic canvas and is waxed and DWR-coated, meaning that it can resist water and is also durable enough so that you don’t have to worry about it ripping open halfway.
There are a ton of quick access sections so that you can whip out your phone, laptop, tablet, camera, and etc. easily. In fact one of our favorite features is the Capture Camera Clip. This is a clip on the outside of your bag in which you can clip/hang your camera, thus letting you access it in an instant when you want to snap a shot.
The Everyday Messenger bag has so far managed to raise over half a million dollars, surpassing its original goal of $100,000, so if you’d like to pledge your support, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details on how you can do that.
