The unlocked HTC One M9 is a flagship device that is certainly worth checking out back when it was released, and it still ain’t too shabby of a handset even by today’s standards. The unlocked model, its developer edition, as well as the version that AT&T is offering have all received the Android 5.1 Lollipop update already, which means those who are rocking to T-Mobile are still playing the waiting game. Until today, that is. In fact, T-Mobile has already begun to push build 2.7.531.6 in the form of an Over The Air (OTA) update to US handsets.
The entire update will weigh in at a rather massive 833MB, so it would be highly recommended if you were to be connected to a Wi-Fi network in order to get the job done. Apart from installing one of the more recent versions of Lollipop, this particular update will also bring along with it other improvements in the realm of battery life, a pre-loaded Google Wallet app, anti-theft protection, among others.
For those who have yet to see the Android 5.1 Lollipop update appear on their smartphones, it might be best to make periodic checks from the About > Software updates menu. Patience always pays off in the end.
