T-Mobile has recently made a string of “un-carrier amped” announcements, it’s improving some of the initiatives that it launched last year to further provide value to its subscribers and entice more people to switch over from other carriers. Music Freedom is a previous un-carrier move by the company which doesn’t count music streaming against a user’s monthly data bucket, it already supports some of the most popular services and now Music Freedom supports Apple Music as well.
This means that Apple Music users on T-Mobile can stream as much as they want on the cellular network without having to worry about it eating into their data allocation for the month.
It also announced a new offer for the iPhone today, customers who purchase an iPhone 6 this summer and decide they want to upgrade to the new one that comes out this September, they’ll be able to do that for free as long as the upgrade is done before the end of 2015.
There will be no additional fee or monthly payment charge for doing that and customers even get to lock in their $15 per month price that T-Mobile is offering right now for the iPhone 6 with a trade-in.
T-Mobile also says that it’s going to give priority to customers that purchased the iPhone 6 with the $15 per month deal, if they purchase the upcoming iPhone within 48 hours of launch and they’re on the $15 per month deal, the carrier is going to prioritize their order.
John Legere, T-Mobile CEO, says that this is the last un-carrier amped announcement for this summer but does promise that T-Mobile continues to listen to its customers and will continue to make the experience better for them.
