Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 owners on Sprint will receive an update notification today as the carrier is rolling out a new build for both devices. There’s not much to expect with this build as it’s an incremental update nevertheless it does bring a tweak or two for the devices . Given that it’s an incremental update it’s not that really big of a download so you don’t have to worry about sitting through a big download process.
Sprint has updated the support page of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 and the only change mentioned with regards to this update is “Reactivation Lock updates,” that’s all that the support pages for both devices mention.
Hence don’t expect any major changes, new features or overall enhancements for the operating system once you receive the update notification from Sprint.
Given that this is an incremental update which merely features on change you might not feel compelled to download and install it immediately but it’s always better to be on the least software version available for your device.
Software version N910PVPU3BOF5 is rolling out right now for the Galaxy Note 4 on Sprint and version G900PVPU3BOF6 for the Sprint Galaxy S5. The small over-the-air update shouldn’t take too long to arrive and download on your handset.
