Previously the report suggested we could be treated to a phone with a 1920×1080 display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset on board. Now according to the new information, those specs have since been “confirmed”, along with a 5.5-inch display, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It has also been rumored for a September launch.
The rumor goes on to claim that the Xperia Z5 will feature a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a built-in fingerprint scanner. With Android M featuring its own native fingerprint scanning system, we suppose it doesn’t come as a surprise if Sony were to take advantage of it, although at this point it is unclear as to when Android M will be released.
A launch in September also means that it is most likely planned for a reveal at IFA. There is also a small chance that the Xperia Z5 could be the rumored “Made for Bond” smartphone, but in any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us in the next couple of months for the details.
