A couple of months ago thanks to a leak, a certain device by the name of the Sony Lavender was leaked. However according to a new report, it seems that we have additional details about the upcoming device, such as its final name which will be known as the Xperia T4 Ultra and that it is expected for a launch in August.
It is unclear as to which markets the handset will be launched in. This is still somewhat in flux especially when you consider that Sony tends to release handsets for both the Japanese market and the international market separately, so at this point in time, we can’t be 100% certain that the Xperia T4 Ultra will be launched stateside or if it could end up being a Japan-only exclusive.
That being said as far as its specs are concerned, it seems that not much has changed from the last time we heard about it. The handset is said to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6752 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. It will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM and it is expected to sport dual 13Mp rear-facing cameras.
It is also expected to support dual SIM connectivity and will come with 4G LTE and Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box. Pricing remains unknown but if the rumors are to be believed, we can expect to find out more next month, but until then do take it with a grain of salt for now.
