Samsung has a habit of launching “mini” variants of its flagship smartphones which is why it won’t be a surprise to see the company dole out the same treatment to the Galaxy S6. It was just a matter of time before we heard about the Galaxy S6 Mini and now pictures of the handset have appeared online hinting at a possible launch in the very near future.
The company has already released one other variant of the Galaxy S6, it’s the Galaxy S6 Active, and Samsung is already expected to launch the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in the coming month. Another variant of these flagship handsets isn’t going to make us raise any eyebrows.
Galaxy S6 Mini pictures show that it follows the same design language as its high-end sibling with the same metal and glass build, but it obviously won’t offer the same specifications.
Rumor has it that the Galaxy S6 Mini is going to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 2GB RAM as well as a 4.6 inch 720p display.
Samsung has not yet confirmed if a mini variant of the Galaxy S6 is in the pipeline but a report suggests that the company might launch this device on August 12, that’s when Samsung is also going to launch the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.
