Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Gets Listed At An Online Retailer

It was rumored a few months back that Samsung might be developing a new variant of the Galaxy S5, its 2014 flagship and while there has been no official confirmation from the company as yet multiple reports and leaks have revealed that it carries model number SM-G903F and is called Galaxy S5 Neo. This handset has been spotted today at a Dutch online retailer where it’s available for purchase with plans being provided by three of the country’s major carriers.

Just a few days ago Galaxy S5 Neo received its Wi-Fi certification which is usually an indicator of an impending launch. It has also visited the GFXBench site recently where it divulged information about its specifications.

This handset is packing a 64-bit octacore Exynos 7580 chipset with 2GB RAM, Mali-T720 GPU and 16GB of onboard storage with microSD card support. There’s a 16 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, the device is powered by Android 5.1 and has a 2,800mAh battery. Its Super AMOLED display measures in at 5.1 inch with 1,080×1,920 pixel resolution.

Galaxy S5 Neo features Cat. 6 LTE which means it can support theoretical download speeds of up to 300Mbps, other than this and the processor not much else is difference between this device and last year’s flagship.

Dutch online retailer Belsimpel has listed the device online, offering it for about $470 in Black, Silver and Gold colors.
