For the past few months we had been hearing that Samsung is working on a new device that’s going to be an addition to its Galaxy A lineup. Multiple photos and even a video have since leaked of the Galaxy A8 but now there’s no need to rely upon unofficial sources. Samsung has finally announced Galaxy A8 officially and the handset really does come with everything that we had been told about it.
As expected the Galaxy A8 has a 5.7 inch 1080p AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB and 32GB storage options with microSD card support, 16 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera as well as 4G LTE support.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this is Samsung’s most feature-rich mid-range smartphone ever which also happens to have a premium build since Samsung has opted for metal instead of plastic.
The design is quite similar to that of the Galaxy S6 with the only major difference being that the Galaxy A8 has ridiculously thin bezels. Galaxy A8 is just 5.9mm thin which makes it the thinnest smartphone that Samsung has ever released, it has a 3,050mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Samsung has only launched this handset in China right now where interested customers can pre-order starting today. No word as yet if Galaxy A8 will be released in other countries across the globe.
