Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced late last year and while we know that it would first be released for Xbox consoles Square Enix never denied the possibility that the title could make its way to PlayStation 4 and PC as well. Today the publisher has finally confirmed Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 and PC release but there’s bad news for those who have been waiting for it, the title isn’t going to come for these platforms this year.
Square Enix has confirmed that the Steam and Windows 10 version of this title is going to be released in early 2016 whereas the PlayStation 4 version is going to be released even later than that.
The publisher says that this game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch which means that it will only be released for the PlayStation 4 in next year’s holiday season.
Crystal Dynamics is the studio behind the new Tomb Raider title which is a reboot of the series from 2013. “In Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara becomes more than a survivor as she embarks on her first great Tomb Raiding expedition.”
Rise of the Tomb Raider is going to be released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th, 2015.
