When it comes to the Nintendo Wii U, the console doesn’t get as much third-party love compared to other consoles, which is kind of a pity given that the Wii U is home to many amazing games. That being said, it seems that Razer could be thinking about offering their support to the console.
This was revealed on Twitter by Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan in which he said, “Well we’re definitely considering those. So we’re looking to double down support to sponsor more FGC tournaments.” It seems that Razer’s consideration of supporting the Wii U is partly due to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. title.
While the Wii U console itself might not necessarily be as popular compared to other platforms, Nintendo has created some pretty cool games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. for the console, which based on previous reports actually helped to boost the sales of the console. It is also now helping Razer consider creating accessories for the device.
It is unclear as to what kind of controllers we might expect to see from Razer if and when they do decide to go ahead with their plans, but if you do own the Wii U and love games like Super Smash Bros., hopefully Razer will have the answer for us soon. In the meantime what kind of setup would you prefer? A fight stick? A more traditional controller?
