Are you stoked that the OnePlus 2 is about to be launched shortly – on July 27th, to be exact? Certainly there is a fair amount of buzz surrounding this particular smartphone, especially when it is about to be rolled out in what is touted to be the first virtual-reality product announcement in the world. Not only that, if the OnePlus One was anything to go by, then the OnePlus 2, if it lives up to its predecessor’s nickname of being a “flagship killer”, looks set to be worth checking out as well. It seems that more details concerning the OnePlus 2 have arrived – and the amount of RAM is set to get a major boost.
We do know that the OnePlus 2 will run on a Snapdragon 810 chipset, where there will also be a USB Type-C port that is definitely future forward, and it will cost less than $450 a pop. As for the amount of RAM, it will have 4GB RAM – which is 1GB RAM more than its predecessor, and you can be sure that this specification would place it well on par with the rest of the other RAM-heavy smartphones that are in the market.
Not only that, the RAM used will be the LPDDR4 variety, which will be faster and better compared to the widely used LPDDR3 range.
