The caption reads, “Focus closely now, a new way to capture split-second photos is coming.” Now we can’t be 100% sure what that means, but given that it was tweeted by Sony’s Xperia account, chances are it will be mobile related. At the moment there are two devices that we have been hearing about for a while now.
One of them is the Sony Xperia Z5 and the other is the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra. The former will be Sony’s second flagship for 2015, while the latter based on its specs feels more like a mid-range handset at best, so it’s really anyone’s guess as to what phone Sony might announce. However there is always the possibility that this could be a software update for Sony’s cameras, but we’re really hoping that isn’t the case.
Alternatively we could be learning about a new smartphone camera sensor which Sony has plenty of experience in, not to mention it has also been used in many smartphones as well. In any case we suppose we will find out on the 3rd which is next week, so check back with us then for the details.
