HTC hasn’t had a great year, it’s existing flagship device the HTC One M9 didn’t do much for the company’s fortunes. That’s one of the reasons why HTC CEO Cher Wang announced recently that the company is going to release a redesigned flagship handset in October. There’s a report out today which claims that HTC is going to release a new phablet this fall which will come after the redesigned flagship is launched.
The new flagship from HTC is reportedly codenamed Aero and is expected to come with a Quad HD resolution display and Gorilla Glass 4. Details about its specifications are thin but there’s hope that it might feature a “groundbreaking” camera.
One thing’s for sure though: Aero is going to have a new design. It won’t look similar to the HTC One lineup since that’s one of the reasons why it’s being launched in the first place.
The phablet that’s expected to come after the Aero could very well be a larger version of the new device with some more features, like HTC has done with the HTC One Max and HTC One M9+ in the past.
No details are available about this phablet at this point in time and HTC hasn’t even confirmed it yet so we may have to wait for a bit before we find out more information about this upcoming HTC device.
