However like we said, this is a feature that was exclusive to the Moto X series and recently the Moto 360 smartwatch. This could change in the near future according to a recent tweet by @evleaks which showed off a photo containing a series of colorful Moto G handsets, which seems to indicate that the next-gen Moto G could have access to the Moto Maker tool as well.
The Moto G series is a low-mid range handset. Its specs are passable but given its price, it is a value for money purchase. Now with the rumored addition of Moto Maker access, it should make the handset more appealing as this will allow smartphone shoppers on a budget to make their phones more customizable.
So far according to the leaked specs, the Moto G (2015) is said to sport a 5-inch 720p HD display with Gorilla Glass 3. There will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood clocked at 1.4GHz and it will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 16/32GB storage options, and support for microSD. It will is also rumored to sport an 8MP rear-facing camera with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop running the show.
