The latest whispers on both handsets would be that they might very well get an official announcement this coming September at IFA 2015, and sales of either are tipped to commence either in October or November. It also looks as though the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will skip the metal bit of things, but rather, arrive in white and black polycarbonate bodies. Expect them to be rather slim in nature, sporting iris scanners that would be part of Windows Hello, which so happens to be a new feature that is included in Windows 10.
The Lumia 950 (Talkman) will allegedly arrive with a 5.2” Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) OLED display, a 6-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, a 20MP PureView rear camera with dedicated button, a 5MP wide-angle front facing camera, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 3000 mAh removable battery, Qi wireless charging support with flip cover, and USB Type-C.
As for the Lumia 950 XL, it will have a larger 5.7” Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) OLED display, an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash and dedicated button, a 5MP wide-angle front facing camera, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 3300 mAh removable battery, Qi wireless charging support, and USB Type-C.
