@evleaks initially posted the information posed as a question, but later confirmed it was both a tease and a question at the same time. Given his track record, it’s safe to say that there might be some shred to truth to his claims. Let’s not forget that smartphones with front-facing camera flashes aren’t new and given the selfie trend, Microsoft could easily use it to appeal to the younger crowd.
Not much is known about Microsoft’s plans for Lumia devices in the future. We had recently heard a rumor that Microsoft’s flagship Lumia would sport a metal design, and with the recent write-off and staff layoffs at Microsoft, it was also suggested that the Redmond company would be putting out fewer devices a year from now on.
It is unclear if this front-facing flash will be a feature on the flagship Lumia or if it will be intended for another model, but either way we will keep our eyes peeled for more information, so do check back with us later for the details.
