We should note it says teaser, so presumably more specific numbers will be revealed later. That being said, it’s interesting to note that the handset is doing better than the Lumia 520. In the recent years, the Lumia 520 despite its low-end specs has actually been found to be the best-selling Windows device.
It has even managed to sell 12 million units globally, topping charts all over the world, especially in emerging markets. With such notable accomplishments, we have to wonder how well the Lumia 640 did if it were to have outperformed the Lumia 520. If anything we suppose at the end of the day, Microsoft may have very well found their target market.
As a quick recap for those who aren’t familiar with the Lumia 640 – the handset features a 5-inch 1280×720 display. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, an 8MP rear-facing camera with a 0.9MP front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery to boot.
