Verizon today released a new software update for the LG G3, it follows the Lollipop update that was released for this handset earlier this year. It turns out that the update had quite a lot of bugs and issues that needed fixing so with this new update Verizon intends to do that in order to provide a much more improved software experience to LG G3 owners on its network. The carrier has started rolling out the update over-the-air.
Software version VS98524B is rolling out now and it brings a couple of new features as well such as a Bluetooth button to the in-call screen.
Lollipop’s Interrupt feature has been added and now the notification can be set to completely off, allowed to sound when one pops up or set to Priority mode for certain messages and events.
Advanced Calling is included in this update which will allow LG G3 owners on Verizon to use HD Voice and Video Calling, if customers aren’t subscribed to the service LTE Video Calling will be automatically disabled.
Other than that this update brings various bug fixes and performance improvements to deal with issues of battery drain, random reboots and Wi-Fi stability.
No word as yet through from Verizon when it intends on releasing the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for this handset.
