lexus-rc-f-coupeWe do know that Lexus does roll out some pretty mean looking cars, not to mention throwing in all sorts of luxury that you can think of, and this certainly means the company has a rather deep seated interest in making sure that they remain ahead of the technological curve. Having said that, Lexus Australia demonstrated that instinct by working alongside creative agency M&C Saatchi in order to roll out a one of a kind RC F which will show off the driver’s heartbeat – not on the dashboard console, but surprisingly, on the exterior of the car.

The Lexus RC F coupe has a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 engine underneath the hood that churns out 351kW and 530Nm, and if that will not quicken your pulse when you put the pedal to the metal, then we are not quite sure what else will. Of course, when your heart starts to beat faster, you can be sure that everyone else on the outside will be able to see it, although it might be a blur after 5 seconds since it accelerates from 0-100kmh in a matter of 4.8 seconds.

This particular system works as it transmits the driver’s heartbeat to a bespoke electrical system through a heart rate monitor, where all data will be processed by the on-board system before being sent to the Lexus’ electroluminescent paint that will glow accordingly.
