Last month Lexus made waves when they published a video teasing that they had a hoverboard in the works. Many were rightfully skeptical, except that unlike the pranks and hoaxes we’ve seen in the past, Lexus’s hoverboard is the real deal. The company has even published a new video showing it off in action.
Now the company has been taking their sweet time with putting out new videos of its hoverboard. So far we have seen it floating and in this new video, it basically acts as a short interview with pro skater Ross McGouran who is the skateboarder (or hoverboarder?) who will be taking the hoverboard for a ride.
The video does not show McGouran riding the board yet, but presumably Lexus will continue to release teaser videos that will eventually get us there. He does talk about the hoverboard and we get more footage of the device floating. Now it should be noted that the skate park that they are filming in is supposedly specially constructed.
There is metal underneath the concrete that will allow the hoverboard to stay afloat, but given that this is the entire park, we suppose it does make for a larger area. We’re still not 100% sure of what the board is capable of, but in the meantime if you have a couple of minutes to spare, check it out in the video above.
