Earlier we reported on a relatively unknown Chinese brand by the name of Doogee who are working on a smartphone called the HomTom which is said to pack a 6,250mAh battery. This is no doubt a massive battery and it looks like Lenovo wants in on big batteries as well. According to recent rumors, the company’s upcoming Lenovo Vibe P1 is said to sport a large battery as well.
While it won’t be a hulking 6,250mAh battery, the rumors do suggest that it will still be pretty big and has put it at over 5,000mAh. This is no doubt a sizable battery and should be good enough to last users for quite a while. However at the same time, the new rumors do contradict an earlier sighting at China’s TENAA.
The sighting which was earlier this month suggested that the phone would come with a 4,000mAh battery which by itself is still pretty respectable, so either the rumors of a 5,000+mAh battery are wrong or TENAA’s listing was made in error, which it has happened before as the OnePlus 2 was listed with a QHD display when it only came with a Full HD one.
As for the rest of the Lenovo Vibe P1’s specs, it is said to sport a 5-inch 720p HD display with a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. It will also be accompanied by an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, with 4G connectivity and dual SIM support.
