iPhone 6s Force Touch Display Reports Increase

A few months back it was rumored that perhaps the next iPhone from Apple is going to have a Force Touch display. Multiple reports have come in since then basically reiterating the same thing though some of them haven’t come in from usually reliable sources. Today a major publication is throwing its weight behind the assumption that the iPhone 6s Force Touch display is indeed coming with Apple’s next-generation smartphone.

The Wall Street Journal reports today that Apple’s next iPhone, presumably called iPhone 6s, is going to feature a Force Touch display.

A Force Touch display would bring about a whole new way to interact with the smartphone, with apps presenting users with more menus and options that will come up when a user presses harder on the display.

It will be quite different than multiple taps or a long press action, these features will be linked to just how hard the user’s finger is pressing down on the display.

The report further claims that the size and dimensions of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will remain the same, and that Apple could add a new color option alongside the existing grey, silver and gold options.

Traditionally Apple launches new iPhones in September and there’s no reason to believe that this time around the company is going to make any change in that schedule.
