Hyundai Lets You Start Your Car From Apple Watch

Hyundai is very serious about embracing connected car technologies and earlier this year the company launched its Blue Link app for Android Wear, which lets you remotely start or stop the engine as well as do various other things. Now months after the app was launched for Android powered smartphones the car maker is finally bringing it to the Apple Watch, allowing owners to start their vehicles remotely using their Apple smartwatch.

Remote engine start and stop is probably the biggest feature that Blue Link offers, aside from several other features which include remote door lock and unlock, remote light flashing as well as a car finder with map in case you forget where you parked your car.

There’s an element of “coolness” to the app as well since all of these features can be controlled using voice commands, so you can feel all James Bond-like when telling your watch to start your car.

The best part is that Hyundai’s Blue Link app is not just compatible with recent models, in fact it offers the same features with all cars equipped with its Blue Link platform, which means even if you own the 2012 Sonata you can access all of these features through an app on your Apple Watch.
