If you hate the idea of having to choose between Android Auto or Apple’s CarPlay, you might not have to with the new 2016 Honda Accord model. The company has recently announced that the upgraded 2016 Accord will be the “highest tech” Accord yet as it will feature both Android Auto and Apple’s CarPlay at the same time.
According to Honda exec John Mendel, “Where else to introduce the most technologically advanced midsize sedan, the 2016 Accord, than in Silicon Valley. Customers want their vehicles to be more intelligently integrated with their smartphone-powered lives, and we are committed to delivering that experience starting with Accord, retail car buyers’ most popular vehicle the past two years.”
Along with the inclusion of the two infotainment systems, Honda’s 2016 Accord will also come with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a Honda Sensing system. This system will provide additional information to drivers such as collision warnings, lane assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
There will also be a slight facelift done on the 2016 Accord. According to Honda, it will make the car look sportier with sophisticated styling on the front and the back, new LED fog lights, and restyled LED taillights. For those interested in getting their hands on the car, it will be released this coming August.
