We never have the power to stop our favorite places from getting too crowded so we try to find a period of time during which the crowd is relatively thin. If you often find yourself in this dilemma then Google’s latest update for Google Search cards will prove to be very useful for you. Google Search cards can now show the busiest times for businesses and public places in Search itself, it brings them day by the hour for the entire week.
This new card will provide information about businesses and public places around the world that are listed in Search, Google hopes that this feature will make it easier for people to avoid long lines at their favorite places and visit a store or coffee shop when it’s less likely to be crowded.
Google uses the same anonymized Android location data for this feature as it does for traffic data on Google Maps, so it’s just an estimate because the system can’t precisely tell how many people are inside a store at any given time.
As with traffic, the estimate often proves to be good enough in most cases so users might find this new feature to be quite useful for them.
