If the past few weeks are any indication then it appears that Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A8, it would be the latest addition to Samsung’s Galaxy A lineup which has already been out for quite some time now. There have already been many rumors and reports regarding this handset but the one that’s out today claims the handset is going to come with an all new 16 megapixel ISOCELL rear camera.
The Galaxy A8 is also expected to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone to date which is why the company is believed to have gone for this all new ISOCELL sensor which could be housed in the A8’s 5.9mm metallic frame.
According to the report the 16 megapixel rear LSI3P3 sensor in the Galaxy A8 has a pixel size of 1.0µm which is slightly less than the 1.2µm pixel size found on the Galaxy S6’s sensor. Samsung has also been able to reduce the sensor’s thickness to 5mm and that’s a 26 percent decrease when compared against the IMX240 module present on the Galaxy S6.
Galaxy A8 will be one of the most feature packed mid-range smartphones to ever come out of Samsung, it’s also expected to come with a 5.7 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 64-bit octacore Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage.
LTE, 5 megapixel front camera, Android 5.1.1 and a 3,050mAh battery are all going to be present when this handset arrives in the next few weeks as it has already made the customary FCC stop.
