Sony Pictures Animation managed to outbid a few other studios in a particular deal that came close to seven figures, and I suppose that is chump change for a movie studio, although the trick would be to make back money – and hopefully reap a handsome profit along the way, when it comes to rolling out a movie concerning Emojis. Plot details of the film remain unknown – and perhaps it does not even exist at the moment, but we do know that the animated project will be written by Eric Siegel and Anthony Leondis.
Leondis will also do the directing work, and he has worked on animated titles in the past that proved to be winners in their own right such as Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters and others.
