When you start to hear more and more rumors getting around concerning an upcoming device, you know for sure that there will be said device in the pipeline – and eventually released, of course. Having said that, the iPhone 6s should never have been a doubt at all, especially when one takes into consideration how the iPhone hierarchy all boils down to a model with an “s” suffix before the next generation model is released. Last week, an alleged iPhone 6s motherboard photo was said to come with LTE Cat 6 connectivity, and here is something from China Mobile that might just have confirmed – albeit unofficially, such a matter.
A recently concluded event saw the largest carrier in the world (China Mobile, of course, who have been greatly aided by the fact that they happen to be set up in the world’s most populous country) report on the total number of subscribers that they have, as well as an upcoming implementation of an LTE-A Cat 6 network. China Mobile also listed down Apple as one of those companies that will soon put up Cat 6-enabled devices on sale – which is about saying that the iPhone 6s will feature Cat 6 LTE modems, without saying it, if you know what I mean.
Still, do take this with a pinch of salt at the moment, as until something official is mentioned by Cupertino, it will clearly remain shelved on the rumor section.
