So what can we expect in terms of specs? For starters given their price we suppose we shouldn’t really expect too much. For the Exilim EX-ZR3000, it will feature a 12MP 1/1.7-inch BSI CMOS sensor and a 25-300mm lens. This sounds like it will be ideal for those who love zoom cameras.
However if you’d rather have a camera with a larger sensor, the EX-ZR60 will feature a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor. It will also feature a zoom lens but unlike the ZR3000, this will be slightly shorter as its range is 25-250mm, but unless you need that extra 50mm zoom we reckon it should not really affect your experience too much.
Both cameras will feature flip-up LCD displays and a secondary shutter button on the front panel, thus allowing users to grab a couple of selfies in a more ergonomic way. There will also be built-in WiFi and Bluetooth so that photographers can transfer photos from their cameras to their smartphones wirelessly. Unfortunately for now both cameras are only available in Japan with the EX-ZR3000 pegged for a July 31st launch, while the EX-ZR60 has been pegged for the 28th of August.
