A few days ago, Capcom announced that they had created a Mega Man helmet replica and that they would be putting it up for sale soon. However back then they did not announce when it would be or how much it would cost, at least until now. For gamers who are interested in getting their hands on it, the helmet is currently available for pre-order.Now it won’t come cheap as it will be priced at $150, but if you’re a huge Mega Man fan and you think this would make for awesome cosplay or a Halloween costume, perhaps it is money worth spending, not to mention this is an official Capcom merchandize so you know it’s legit. A specific release date has not been mentioned but on Capcom’s website, it says it will be released in the winter of 2015.
This means that we still have a few months of waiting but if you think you have the patience, why not? According to Capcom’s description, “Everyone’s been clamoring for one – and now you really can be Mega Man with this full-size, wearable Mega Man helmet made of high quality ABS plastic with a high polish finish, authentic proportions and details, plus working LED lights!”
The helmet itself isn’t worn like a motorcycle helmet. Instead there will be a clamshell hinge on the back half of the helmet that lets you wear it comfortably. There will also be soft padding inside the helmet but like we said before, apart from the light up ability, it will not provide you with any enhanced cybernetic powers.
