Bubble Wrap, as we know it, has been an ultimate object of joy rather than just being a covering sheet. Many of us have spent relentless hours just popping those bubble, oh what fun! isn’t it?
Sadly, our source of sheer fun might be in danger, as the company behind the invention of Bubble Wrap, has introduced a new version, which well, does not pop! Can you believe it? The company “Sealed Air” has come up with this new version in which the bubble don’t pop, they shift the air instead.
This latest design is available in sheets and is much more compact than the previous design, which makes It easy to store and ship. Companies that will use this new design will be required to use a pump provided by Sealed Air to inflate the sheets.
Felling sad? You’re not alone, many Bubble Wrap fans around the world have shared their sadness on Twitter. Some of the fans even started the campaign #SaveBubbleWrap to rescue the good old Bubble Wrap design from being replaced by the new one.
One of the fan tweeted:
If they go through with making silent bubble wrap, the world as we know it will cease to exist.

After seeing the fans breaking down, Sealed Air tweeted:
No need to #SaveBubbleWrap @CoffeeandIrony – it isn't going away. Original #BubbleWrap (with pop!) remains, just gaining a new sibling!
