There is a solution available for you if you feel the need to run Android apps and games on your Mac. BlueStacks first launched its Android emulator for Mac in alpha back in 2012 but today it’s finally bringing a final version of the emulator. The final verison of BlueStacks for Mac is available today and it lets you run Android apps and games on your Mac, without even requiring you to own an Android device.
Since BlueStacks is an emulator it can essentially function as an Android smartphone or tablet inside the Mac, even offering support for features like touch gestures, pinch to zoom as well as native graphics support.
BlueStacks for Mac is able to run both ARM-based and x86 apps, even those that are meant for the Apple TV, it also provides support for camera integration, microphone and sensor.
Just like it allows on the Windows version of this emulator, users can download apps and games directly from the Google Play Store on BlueStacks, and also provides users with content synchronization across multiple apps and mobile devices.
BlueStacks for Mac is available as a free download from the Mac App Store through the app itself is pretty hefty, coming in at around 240MB.
