Now you’re probably wondering how is that a slider? It looks a bit too long and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere in which the phone could slide, right? However the folks at N4BB managed to grab a photo from MWC earlier this year in which the phone was shown off briefly, thus confirming that the rendering above is indeed that of the device and that when it is fully extended, it is a pretty tall phone.
It might be a bit unwieldy to use but because presumably no one has managed to get their hands on the device yet, it’s hard to say if it will be easy/hard to use. The rendering also clearly shows the phone running on Android, although at MWC it was assumed by many that it would run on BlackBerry 10.
Nothing can really be confirmed yet in terms of specs, but what we have heard so far based on rumors is that it could feature a 5.4-inch QHD display, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM, an 18MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. Sounds like quite a beast and we have to wonder how BlackBerry and Android users will react to such a device when it is officially announced, which as it stands has been pegged for late 2015.
