Arbor Solution Gladius G1052C Is One Tough Tablet

Most of us would think that tablets are pretty fragile in nature, and perhaps that should not come across as a surprise. After all, the larger screen size, coupled with our tendency to get into unwanted accidental drops, tend to be a devastating combo. It is a good thing that there has been a market for rugged tablets, targeting industries which need decent computing power on the move without the bulk of a laptop. Arbor Solution has pitted their Gladius G1052C against the likes of the Xplore XC6, HP ElitePad 1000 G2, and the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-E1.

This ruggedized tablet will cater for situations where heavy duty work is required, and giving the Gladius G1052C a few knocks around should not come across as any surprise. Rather, we would say that the tablet itself welcomes such “tests”, so to speak.

The Gladius G1052C will support Windows Embedded 7, Windows 7 Professional, Windows Embedded Standard 8.0, Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, and Windows 8.1 Professional, and just to keep up with the times, it also has the ability to be upgraded to Windows 10, now how about that for progress?

Hardware specifications of the Gladius G1052C include a 10.4” XGA TFT color display with a LED backlight at a resolution of 1024 x 768, an Intel Celeron N2930 processor, 2GB RAM, a 32GB mSATA solid-state drive, a 1D/2D barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, and an RFID/NFC scanner, all crammed into a chassis that is Military Standard 810G compliant.
