Last month when Bethesda announced Fallout 4, they also revealed a collector’s edition bundle which basically came with its own Pip-Boy. We remember Bethesda’s Todd Howard being particularly excited about the collectible, calling it one of their best gimmicks ever, a sentiment we’re sure many fans will agree with.
However you might recall that Bethesda had recently stated that they will not be able to make any more units, something to do with the factories they outsourced it to hitting maximum capacity. It is a bummer if you did not get your hands on one, but the good news is that someone has decided to put up the instructions on how to 3D print your own Pip-Boy.
This is courtesy of Yvo de Haas who has uploaded instructions that would allow gamers to 3D print their very own Pip-Boy accessory. Of course it will differ from the model that Bethesda is offering, but the upside is that it is more adaptable and will come in different sizes, thus allowing you to fit a variety of devices in it.
If you have access to a 3D printing machine and would like to 3D print your very own Pip-Boy, then head on over to Ytec3D’s website for the instructions on how to proceed. In the meantime for the rest of us, you can check it out for yourself in the video above along with the photos.
